Panoramas
Conducted by David Law, the Queensland Wind Orchestra returns home to The Old Museum Concert Hall with a spectacular concert program.
This concert will open with Olivia Kieffer's breathtaking, and entirely unique piece: ...and Then The Universe Exploded. We'll continue on a lyrical journey through Philip Sparke's Reflections on an Old Japanese Folk Song, Joaquin Rodrigo's major and vastly underperformed Per la Flor del Lliri Blau, and Satoshi Yagisawa's Machu Piccu – City in the Sky.
Excitingly, we will be joined by one of Australia's leading Saxophone players, Andrew Ball, to perform John Mackey's sublime and ground-breaking Concerto for Soprano Sax and Wind Ensemble.
